The Argentina national rugby team, nicknamed Los Pumas, represents Argentina in international rugby union matches. The team, which plays in sky blue and white jerseys, is organised by the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR, from the Spanish: Unión Argentina de Rugby).
In March 2008 the team reached an all-time high of third in the IRB World Rankings. As of 23 March 2009 Argentina is ranked fifth in the world behind Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Ireland. This makes Argentina ranked just below the countries which compose the Tri-Nations and the current Six Nations champion.

Through solid advances in competitiveness and performance during the 2000s, Argentina will begin playing in a new expanded Tri-Nations (Four Nations) tournament starting in 2012. Argentina is expected to be an underdog performer in the tournament for the first year or two, but will quickly improve over time with regular experience playing the worlds most elite teams. The national teams personal goals for the early 2010s is to achieve their first victories over the All Blacks and Springboks.

The Pumas' current captain is Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe.

The Tri-Nations is an annual competition involving New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. Previously this involved each country playing one home and one away game against both other countries. From 2006 the competition has been expanded with each nation playing both the other nations three times. Since Argentina's strong performances in the 2007 World Cup a number of commentators believed they should join the Tri-Nations.. This was firstly proposed for the 2008 tournament, then for 2010, but eventually this prospect came much closer to reality after the 2009 Tri Nations tournament, when SANZAR (South Africa, New Zealand and Australian Rugby) extended an official invitation to the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR), to join a new revised Four Nations tournament in 2012. This move has been long-anticipated and has generally been met with great approval from all parties involved. The invitation is however subject to certain conditions, like the guaranteed availability of the top Puma players, most of whom play highly paid professional club rugby in Europe at present.

Arguably, Italian Rugby really came to prominence in 2000 when it was added to the Five Nations, creating the Six Nations. Originally on the end of some heavy defeats, the side has grown in competitiveness, recorded a fourth place finish in 2007, and even in defeat, lop-sided losses are becoming far less frequent. Italy are ranked eleventh in the world by the IRB as of 21 June 2010. thanks to Wikipedia

Rugby union is the unofficial national sport of New Zealand. Rugby, as it is generally referred to by New Zealanders, is an integral part of New Zealand culture [citation needed]. The national team, the All Blacks, are among the top ranked international teams in the world. The sport was known in New Zealand from 1870, and the game now holds close ties with the culture of the country. The top domestic competitions are the professional ITM Cup and amateur Heartland Championship, and above them, the Super 14, in which New Zealand has five franchises. The country hosted the first ever World Cup final in 1987, and have won the rights to host the 2011 tournament.
The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) is responsible for rugby in the country. The NZRU was formed in 1892 as the New Zealand Rugby Football Union with the original representation of seven unions though there was the original significant absence of Canterbury, Otago and Southland. The NZRFU joined the IRFB in 1949. There are 26 member unions within New Zealand. Every province also has its own union. In late 2005, New Zealand won the right to host the 2011 World Cup.

A New Zealand Māori team first toured overseas in 1908 when they visited Australia. This tour was a success, and was followed by another tour to Australia in 1909 and to Great Britain in 1910.
A separate body, the Māori Rugby League Board of Control, was formed in 1934 to administer the game in Māori communities. This governing body was later renamed the Aotearoa Māori Rugby League and in 1992 it was registered as an incorporated society.

The Māori have had a wonderful record of beating international touring teams over the years. In 1983 they visited Britain and a side containing future Kiwis stars like Hugh McGahan, Dean Bell and Clayton Friend proved too strong for the amateur opposition they played. For many years, the Māori have competed in the Pacific Cup alongside other teams with a strong presence of New Zealand-based players—Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands, so they thought it was right they should have the opportunity to follow these teams to the World Cup. The invitation to the Māori to take part in the 2000 World Cup came about as a result of promises made to them by the defunct Super League International Board at the height of the Super League war that tore the game apart in the southern hemisphere.
The Māori team has participated in the Pacific Cup (since 1974), Super League's 1997 Oceania Cup, Papua New Guinea 50th Anniversary (1998), 2000 World Cup, World Sevens Qualification (2003) and Pacific Rim (2004) competitions.
Their most recent match was against Indigenous Dreamtime team on 26 October 2008 before the start of 2008 World Cup

When the two proud sides descend on Carisbrook, the visitors, who have a illustrious history as one of the more decorated rugby nations, will try to arrest a record against a team that has earned the title as Wales’ ultimate bete noire.
Their record against the All Blacks at the dawn of the 20th century is unparalleled. Recognised as the first conquerors of New Zealand in test rugby, they had achieved the feat twice before any other Northern Hemisphere nation (England was second in 1936) and did it again before a second European power notched a rare All Blacks scalp (France in 1954).
However since then Wales have lost 21, as horrendous a losing streak as suffered by any nation against any opponent.
Despite reflecting on that history, many feel that the All Blacks are not the unconquerable point of reference as they have been in the past.
Last year they conceded the Tri Nations, the less prestigious (in terms of year’s running) Six Nations equivalent in the south; and in the process lost three straight games to the Springboks.
Still, while the All Blacks are not currently engaging in their typical rampage that takes place between World Cups in the professional era, they are still in terms of results beyond any other team outside the reigning World Champions.
Wales will attempt to break New Zealand coach Graham Henry’s incredible record of having only lost twice to Northern opposition since 2004. Only France has beaten them (twice) in that time for a ledger that reads All Blacks 39.

The Wales national rugby union team represent Wales in international rugby union tournaments. They compete annually in the Six Nations Championship with England, France, Ireland, Italy and Scotland. Wales have won the Six Nations and its predecessors 24 times outright, second only to England with 25 wins. Wales most recent championship win came in 2008. They also compete in the Rugby World Cup every four years. The International Rugby Board (IRB) regards Wales as a Tier One rugby nation, and ranks them eighth in the world as of 1 February 2010. thanks to Wikipedia & allblacks.com

The 2010 IRB Junior World Championship is the third annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams, this competition replaces the now defunct under 19 and under 21 world championships. The event will be organised by rugby's governing body, the International Rugby Board (IRB). The competition will be contested by 12 men's junior national teams and will be held in June 2010 and hosted by Argentina.

The International Rugby Board has announced a new format for its flagship Age Grade tournament, the IRB Junior World Championship, with the number of participating teams being reduced from 16 to 12 in 2010. watch now Australia vs England >>> live

This restructure, approved by the IRB Council, means that the top 12 teams at this year’s IRB TOSHIBA Junior World Championship in Japan will automatically qualify for the 2010 tournament in Argentina, while the bottom four will participate in regional qualifying structures for the second-tier IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy 2010.
